Founded in the early 20th century on an existing building, the Bertolaso Mill rises on three floors. It originally had 5 wheels that operated 4 stone mills from Recoaro, and was used for grinding flour and semolina. It worked continuously, with a production capacity of 250 quintals in 24 hours. It was operational until the end of the 1960s.
The importance of this building lies in the wealth it brought to Zimella, as it provided jobs for many people.
In front of this building stands another majestic structure, initially used as a sawmill. It ceased operations in the immediate post-war period.
