The design of the park began in 1923, while work was also underway for the design and construction of the monumental fountain, in order to create a unified and complex arrangement of the area, serving as a memorial to the 168 citizens of Zevio who lost their lives in the First World War.
The park is located in front of the Municipality, on a small island surrounded by a moat where swans swim and Italian flags are displayed. It is built on two levels connected by a few stair ramps; at the lower level, at water's edge, there are hedges. The upper part is enclosed and secured by fences.
The green space is occupied by large trees of different species, including Ginkgo biloba and cedars, most of which probably date back to the original planting.
Inside, next to the Monument to the Fallen and the posts with the original commemorative plaques, there is a playground.
