The symphonic season 2027 will be concentrated between February and May, with eight double date appointments preceded by the extraordinary concert Ein deutsches Requiem.
Dominating the programming will be the 19th and early 20th centuries, thanks also to the renewed forces of the Orchestra and Choir: many symphonic masterpieces long absent from the Verona calendar, such as Le Sacre du printemps by Stravinsky, or the Second Symphony by Sibelius, along with other awaited premieres, like Das Lied von der Erde, Mahler's spiritual testament, the Second Violin Concerto by Prokof’ev, Goetz's Spring Overture, or the suite from Wagner's Parsifal.
Program:
January 29 (extraordinary concert outside the subscription): Brahms – A German Requiem
February 5 and 6: Mahler – The Song of the Earth
February 12 and 13: Respighi – Fountains of Rome
April 2 and 3: Tchaikovsky: Rococo Variations
April 23 and 24: Schumann – Concerto
April 30 and May 1: Wagner – Parsifal suite
May 7 and 8: Stravinsky – The Rite of Spring
May 14 and 15: Rach 2
May 21 and 22: Beethoven: Violin Concerto
