From milk to cheese at the Bellori Mill
A special afternoon to discover up close how fresh milk is transformed into cheese.
An engaging experience for adults and children.
Following this, a guided tour of the Bellori Mill: the structure retains the characteristics of the early mills, with gears built almost entirely of wood. But that's not all: inside the same structure, there is also an ancient baito, the traditional building once used for collecting milk and producing butter and cheese. This space was collectively owned by the inhabitants of the neighborhood: twice a day, at set times, farmers would bring their milk, and each member, in turn, would process all the product delivered during that period.
A true symbol of historic community cooperation.
