The Portinari farm is located at the foot of the hills of Brognoligo. Characterized by its small size, only 4 hectares, it is divided into two plots: Ronchetto and Albare. From here come the Soave D.O.C.G. Classico Ronchetto and Soave DOC Albare.
The Ronchetto vineyard is located in the hilly area that rises from Brognoligo towards Fittà di Soave. It is exposed to the sun from dawn to dusk at an altitude of about 150 meters above sea level. The vines were planted in 1960 on volcanic soil.
The Albare vineyard is located in the flat area to the left of the Alpone stream and was planted in 1987 on alluvial soil rich in clay. In this vineyard, the technique of Double Rational Ripening is applied, and Soave Santo Stefano, a wine made from a late harvest of the double rational ripening, and Spumante Perle d’Oro are also produced.
From both vineyards come the best grapes for the production of Recioto di Soave “Oro” and Passito “AnnaGiulia.”
