This is a reproduction of the Massabielle cave where the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes appeared, though smaller in size compared to the original.
It was commissioned by the priest of Zimella, Don Umberto Dalla Valle, behind the apse of the parish church of San Floriano, where the cemetery originally stood, following a pilgrimage to Lourdes in 1933 to fulfill a vow made to the Madonna of Lourdes. For its realization, the priest sought help from Blessed Fra' Claudio Granzotto, who had constructed the same work in Chiampo. The work began in 1938.
In the square in front of the building, there are two rows of benches with kneelers, and on the left, there is a statue of Saint Bernadette Soubirous. To the left of the cave is the vestibule, while behind the gate we find the altar and, high up on the right, the statue of the Madonna of Lourdes. On the right, there is also a monument in memory of the architect and builder of the cave, Blessed Fra' Claudio Granzotto.
