Chiesa di San Rocco

Church

Lago di Garda Veneto

The Church of San Rocco is a small sacred building that holds a significant part of the religious history of Pastrengo. Mentioned in documents as early as 1532, it was initially subject to the church of Pescantina and was the seat of the Confraternity of the Disciplinati; in 1595 it came under the jurisdiction of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross of Pastrengo.

With simple and harmonious architecture, the church features a gabled facade, a rectangular plan ending in a hexagonal apse, and walls made of plastered stone. One of its peculiarities is the characteristic sail bell tower, located on the roof of the adjacent building, an element that contributes to making it a suggestive place full of charm.

The building can primarily be admired from the outside, as continuous public access is not guaranteed outside of holidays or special events.
