A small locality on the north side of Tregnago is Scorgnano, where there is a small sanctuary. The church, of medieval origins, perhaps from the Carolingian era, is dedicated to Saints Severo and Brigida. The building, originally a small chapel, was enlarged several times, and the bell tower was constructed in 1871.
In 1612, Pope Paul V granted a plenary indulgence to anyone who visited the church every year on March 25, the day of the Annunciation. Indeed, this was where the Company of the Announced Madonna was based. From that concession, the little church became a rather frequented Marian sanctuary in past centuries, especially by the faithful from the surrounding area.
The interior environment is characterized by an overall sobriety and compositional simplicity, featuring a tempera decorative apparatus that culminates in the decoration of the triumphal arch and the walls of the presbytery. Many ex-votos are preserved in the presbytery.
