The walls of Soave are just the beginning: just a little further on, roads and paths wind through vineyards, towns, and hills. Choose how to explore the Eastern Verona area and take your time to stop where the landscape piques your curiosity.
How to get around Soave-East Verona
In the car
The car is convenient if you want to visit multiple places and reach the wineries in the hills. In Soave, you can park near the walls, for example on Via Adami, by Porta Aquila, or on Via Covergnino, and continue on foot into the village. Check the signage and the rules of the ZTL before entering the historic center.By bus
The intercity ATV line 130 connects Verona to Soave and San Bonifacio, passing through San Martino Buon Albergo. It is an option to reach the main centers without a car; if you want to continue to the towns in the hills, check the connections and daily schedules on the ATV website.
By bike
Pedal through rows, greenhouses, and villages along the AIDA route that crosses San Martino Buon Albergo, Caldiero, Colognola ai Colli, Soave, and Monteforte d’Alpone: it covers about 30 kilometers in the eastern part of Verona. If you prefer to ride among vineyards and olive groves, explore the hilly trails towards Val d’Illasi and choose a bike suitable for the slopes.
