The Veneto side of Lake Garda changes face along the eastern shore: to the south, Peschiera and the areas of the parks welcome you, and further north, the road runs alongside the water up to the villages at the foot of Mount Baldo. Choose your destination based on the location you want to visit.
How to reach Lake Garda in Veneto
In car
For Peschiera and the southern part, exit the A4 at Peschiera del Garda. For Bardolino, Garda, and the central shore, you can exit the A22 at Affi; if you are heading towards Malcesine and the northern part of the lake, consider the Rovereto Sud exit of the A22. From each exit, follow the signs for the chosen town.
On the train
Peschiera del Garda is the train station on the Venetian shore: it is convenient if your destination is south of the lake. For locations further north, you can reach Verona Porta Nuova and continue by bus, or get off at Rovereto and check the connections to the northern shore.By plane
From Valerio Catullo Airport, during active periods, the ATV line 482 directly reaches Peschiera del Garda. From there, you can continue with line 483 along the eastern shore. Alternatively, the Airlink 199 takes you to Verona Porta Nuova, from where trains to Peschiera and buses to the lake depart.
In Pullman
From Verona, the ATV line 164 reaches Peschiera, Lazise, Bardolino, and Garda. To continue along the shore towards Malcesine, check line 483; from Garda, line 484 also departs towards the north of the lake. Some long-distance buses stop in Peschiera: check the ticket for the exact stop.
