A journey through the places in Verona where Dante lived for the first time between 1303 and 1304 and a second time from 1313 to 1318.
The audience, modern souls in transit, will be led into Dante's works in a unique and unrepeatable way, among earthly, historical, and real places and otherworldly places of the imagination.
The route will develop from Theater Nuovo, through Piazza Dante, the Scaliger Tombs (which, thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Verona will be open in the evening only for our viewers), the other Dantesque places in the center of Verona, leading to a necessary and important stop in front of the Capitular Library, ending in the cloister of the Cathedral, in front of the Church of Sant'Elena.
During the journey, Virgil – Narrator and Beatrice will guide the audience, as if they too were walking the Dantesque path... under their guidance, of course!
From an idea by Paolo Valerio, directed by Silvia Mercuriali and Paolo Valerio, written by Silvia Mercuriali and Alberto Pavoni, sound design by Silvia Mercuriali, featuring narration by Alberto Pavoni and Giorgia Osimati, realized in collaboration with Ippogrifo Guide Verona, Civic Museums of Verona, and the Scaliger Center for Dante Studies.
