The Nordic walking initiative in Villafranca di Verona is an activity started in 2022 by the San Rocco Committee as an expansion of activities addressing oncological issues, in collaboration with the Department of Neurosciences, Biomedicine and Movement of the University of Verona, the Municipality, and AULSS9.
Nordic walking is an outdoor physical activity that consists of walking using two special poles for propulsion. The University of Verona has prepared the use of 50 pairs of poles to support the initiative, and since then, every Thursday at 5:30 PM, meeting at the swimming pool square in Villafranca, participants walk for about an hour and a half and engage in physical activity.
It's an opportunity to stay healthy and fit while in company!
