Directed by Marco Rampoldi, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Pino Quartullo star in the brilliant play by David Tristram.
The protagonist Ruby is found dead after a party closing a triumphant tour, and the case is filed as a suicide caused by a mix of barbiturates and alcohol. However, exactly one year after her death, the woman's ghost appears to her ex-husband Edward, a playwright in crisis and the only one who can see and hear her, and reveals that she was murdered by a colleague. After an initial moment of shock, the man is convinced to help her unmask the true culprit and gathers the attendees from the previous year's party to reenact the events and try to flush out the murderer through their reactions. Only then will the woman's spirit finally be free from the limbo in which it is trapped.
This is an original and interesting work that combines mystery with comedy, set “in the middle of a frigid winter” and characterized by a succession of hilarious moments, suspicions, and plot twists.
