Christmas in Valeggio sul Mincio is linked to an image that has become a symbol of the festive season: the metasequoia of Borghetto, illuminated by over twenty thousand lights along the banks of the Mincio.

To reach it, from the center of Valeggio let yourself be guided by the Sentiero Luminoso, a path immersed in a captivating cascade of lights, among sparkling trees and magical luminous animals that seem to have emerged from a fairy tale.

Once you arrive at Borghetto, another spectacle awaits you: as evening falls, the village transforms into a small nativity scene, with lights illuminating the houses, decorations, and reflections on the water, creating an atmosphere that makes every corner a postcard of Christmas.

And no festive table would be complete without the renowned Tortellini di Valeggio, a true masterpiece of flavor and craftsmanship, made by hand one by one with thin dough and a delicate filling of braised meats. Special in broth and incredibly tasty when dry, seasoned with golden melted butter and a few sage leaves, they are the symbolic dish of the local gastronomic tradition: the famous Nodo d’Amore, which unites flavors and tradition in an embrace.
