Veronesi Roots is an immersive and non-performance artistic experience, part of the We Art Nature project, designed for the Verona Roots Fest as a space for reconnection with the territory, memory, and personal dimension.
The experience forms around a "table of origins," a setup inspired by Veronese conviviality and the domestic memory of past generations, where everyday and traditional objects (plates, glasses, cutlery, cups, and other table elements) meet fruits, vegetables, flowers, and natural materials from the territory.
Thus, the table becomes the starting point for a sensory and creative experience dedicated to the theme of roots: not a lesson on tradition, but an invitation to rediscover one's relationship with a place, a story, and a community through artistic gesture.
Guided by facilitators, participants work with colors, materials, and elements from the territory, leaving signs, traces, and personal gestures on the large common white fabric. The fabric (also recovered from families in the area) progressively transforms into a collective work: a shared and tangible memory, in which individual experiences merge into a new common root.
Veronesi Roots is primarily designed for an adult audience and for small groups, couples, and individual travelers, but it can also be experienced by family units and intergenerational groups.
The experience favors a slow pace, non-judgmental listening, and a form of contemporary conviviality, using art as a device to create connection among people, territory, and nature.
The result is not just a work, but a trace of the encounter: an individual gesture that becomes part of a collective memory.
